Q1. How many question papers will there be in JPSC preliminary exam?
Ans: There will be a total of two compulsory papers (General Studies I and II) in the preliminary examination. , each question paper 200 marks and you will get 2 hours to solve them.
Q2. Will marks be deducted for wrong answers in this exam?
Answer: The Commission has clarified that there will be no negative marking in the preliminary examination. If you choose two options for a question, the Commission will consider it as a wrong answer.
Q3. What are the minimum marks required to be successful in the examination?
Ans: General category candidates will have to obtain minimum 40% marks in aggregate. On the contrary, the minimum qualifying marks for Scheduled Caste, Tribe and Women candidates is set at 32%.
Q4.Is there negative marking in the examination?
Answer: No, only the permanent residents of Jharkhand state will get the benefit of reservation.
Q5. Can candidates from other states avail the benefit of reservation?
Ans: It is mandatory to carry the admit card, the original and a photocopy of a photo identity card, and a black ballpoint pen.
