The Government of India (GoI) approved the PM’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration 2025 on December 1, 2025. These awards recognize outstanding governance, impactful public service delivery, and innovative initiatives implemented by civil servants across the country.
The awards will be presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21 April 2026, coinciding with Civil Services Day, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Each award includes a trophy, a scroll, and a financial incentive of Rs.20 lakhs for project implementation or welfare activities.
2025 Award Categories
Category 1 – Holistic Development of Districts
• Focuses on overall district development across 11 priority sectors
• A total of 5 awards will be conferred
• Priority sectors include Drinking Water & Sanitation, Housing (Rural & Urban), Health Services, Health Insurance, Livelihood & Financial Inclusion, Maternal & Child Welfare, Agriculture & Allied Activities, Traditional Skills, Small Business & Entrepreneurship, and Nutrition
Category 2 – Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP)
• Targets blocks identified as backward or in need of focused intervention
• 5 awards will be conferred
• Recognizes blocks showing outstanding performance and innovation under the ABP
Category 3 – Innovations for Ministries, States & Districts
• 6 awards
• Recognizes innovative projects by Central Ministries, State Governments, and District Administrations

1 दिसंबर 2025 को भारत सरकार (GoI) ने PM’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration 2025 को मंजूरी दी। इन पुरस्कारों का उद्देश्य पूरे देश के सिविल सेवकों के उत्कृष्ट शासन, नवाचारी कार्यों और प्रभावी सार्वजनिक सेवा को सम्मानित करना है।
