Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Exam 2026 notification is out! Apply Online

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the eligibility notification for the Jharkhand TET 2026. First, please note that the online application process began on April 21, 2026, and you can fill your form until May 21, 2026. Those who previously applied in 2024 will need to re-fill the form as per the new rules. B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. training is required to appear for this exam. Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years of age for Paper 1 and 21 years of age for Paper 2. While the qualifying marks for the General category are 60%, there is a relaxation of 52% for SC/ST and women. Finally, you can complete your registration immediately by visiting the eligibility website jac.jharkhand.gov.in.

• Must be appearing or passing the last year of 2-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/B.T.C) or 4-year B.El.Ed.

• Or Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed (Shiksha Shastri) passed or appearing in the last year.

How to Apply Online for JHTET 2026

  • First, open the official website of the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) at jac.jharkhand.gov.in in your web browser.
  • Next, open the “JTET 2026 Apply Online Link” link on the home page and click on it.
  • Now complete your registration on the portal using your working email ID and mobile number.
  • After registration, log in to the portal with your login credentials and carefully fill in all the required information in the application form.
  • Also, upload your scanned photo, signature, and required certificates (marksheet, ID proof).
  • After checking the form, go to the payment gateway and pay the application fee according to your category.
  • Finally, submit your final application form and take a printout for future reference.

Q1.How much application fee will General category candidates have to pay?
Ans:General, EWS, and BC category candidates will have to pay ₹1300 for one paper (Paper I or II). If you apply for both papers, you will have to pay ₹1500.

Answer: Yes, those who previously filled the form under Advertisement No. 30/2024 will also have to fill the application form again as per the new rules of 2026.

Ans: The Jharkhand Academic Council has now extended the validity of this certificate for life.

Answer:There will be a total of 150 objective questions in both papers, and you will receive one mark for each correct answer. You will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete this exam.
