In November 2025, Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, Sweden’s pole vault superstar and double Olympic champion, and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, American sprinter, were honoured as World Athletes of the Year 2025 in the men’s and women’s categories at the World Athletics Awards 2025 held in Monaco.
• Duplantis won the Men’s Athlete of the Year title for the 3rd time (2020, 2022, 2025).
• Levrone won the Women’s Athlete of the Year award for the 2nd time (2022, 2025).
