How to Apply Online

The online application process for SSC JHT Recruitment 2026 is extremely simple. If you wish to apply for these positions, please carefully follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)-First, visit the new website of the Staff Selection Commission at https://ssc.gov.in. Click on the ‘Login or Register’ button located there and enter your personal details, such as your name, Aadhaar number, and mobile number. Please note that registrations from the old website will not be valid here; therefore, creating a new OTR is mandatory.

Step 2: Login and Application-After successfully registering, log in using the registration number and password you received. Next, navigate to the ‘Live Exam’ tab and click on the link for the ‘Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2026’. Most of your details will be automatically populated from your OTR profile.

Step 3: Live Photograph and Signature-Now, you will need to capture a live photograph of yourself using a webcam or the ‘MySSC’ app. Ensure that the background is plain and that you are not wearing glasses or a cap. Subsequently, upload a scanned copy of your signature (in the 10–20 KB size range).

Step 4: Fee Payment and Final Submission-Finally, fill in your educational qualifications and your preferences for the examination center. Thereafter, pay the application fee of ₹100 online. Female candidates, as well as those belonging to the SC, ST, and PwBD categories, are exempted from paying the fee. Once you have submitted the form, please save a printout of it for future reference.

Q1.1. Can final-year undergraduate students apply?
Ans: No; your Master’s degree must be completed by August 1, 2026. If your results are declared after this date, the Commission will deem you ineligible.

Answer: Yes, you may fill out a single application form for all posts (A, B, C, D), subject to your eligibility. To do so, you must specify your ‘Post Preferences’ within the online application form.

Ans: Caution! If you provide incorrect information or submit fraudulent documents, the Commission will immediately cancel your candidature. Furthermore, you may be debarred for a period ranging from 3 to 7 years.
